May 28, 2007 - Home again, to Zhaoqing.

Woke up this morning, feeling very groggy, and certainly feeling the effects of not sleeping well last night. We pulled up about 45 minutes from Zhaoqing, to have something to eat, and to stretch our legs, while the driver, and Blue Sky, gave his car a good washing over. ... Apr 22, 2007 - Back to Zhaoqing, and my wonderful mates!

30, and went to find a taxi, to take me to the bus station which Myron had recommended for me to get a bus back to Zhaoqing. ... After much confusion, as to where I should go to get my ticket, and going to one ticket office, but being directed over the road, to another bus station altogether, I did eventually have in my hand, a ticket to Zhaoqing. ... It is not my favourite pastime, sitting around waiting in a foreign bus station, but thank goodness for my book, which was keeping me occupied!! With about 15 minutes until departure time, I decided to go out the departure door, and see if I could identify my bus, and wow, sure enough, I managed to find one with what looked like the characters for Zhaoqing on the front. ... It is the only reliable lifeline, so long as you have English speaking Chinese friends, you can count on!! As I headed out of town, Rony and I had been sending each other messages, and I called him, and asked him to ask one of the staff on the bus, what time we expected to arrive in Zhaoqing, and where I would be dropped off. ... The Xijiang is the river that flows through Zhaoqing. ...

Up early this morning, as we had to be at the ferry terminal by 7., with no delays, and then onto the bus for Zhaoqing. ... May 28, 2006 - Back home to Zhaoqing.

Woke up with the alarm. It was a feeling of pleasure to be going home, but it was as if I was going home to Albany that morning, instead of Zhaoqing. ... And I woke up as we were coming into Zhaoqing, and I was all disoriented, and had to ask Anita if we were in Zhaoqing!! She went back to the university, and I walked up town, and then got a taxi to the college. ... I did some washing, started to unpack, etc.Woke up with the alarm. It was a feeling of pleasure to be going home, but it was as if I was going home to Albany that morning, instead of Zhaoqing. ... Mar 22, 2006 - Long day, but back to Zhaoqing.

Our alarm rang at 6am. We had decided that if we did not have too long to wait we would get a train back to Zhaoqing. ... 10pm, which means we will be in Zhaoqing by just after 6pm. ... We were so tired, it was not funny any more!! Anyway we got here, grabbed a cab, and went to KFC, as we wanted something easy for tea, and didn't want the hassle of trying to order Chinese.Our alarm rang at 6am. Feb 19, 2006 - By train back to Zhaoqing.

We got up just after 8 am, and packed up our things, and left to get to the train station. So we went off to find something to eat, as we had not had breakfast, and it was going to be a bit late, by the time we get to Zhaoqing. ... We got back to Zhaoqing at 2. ... 35pm, after a lovely trip through villages, and fields, of vegetables, fruit, and flowers.We got up just after 8 am, and packed up our things, and left to get to the train station. So we went off to find something to eat, as we had not had breakfast, and it was going to be a bit late, by the time we get to Zhaoqing. ... We didn't wake until about 10. When we got back to town, we went and bought a ticket to get back to Zhaoqing, and then Anita and I went to a hairdresser's to have our hair washed, and have a conditioning treatment. ... On the bus on the way home, I had a call from Future, who was also on his way back to Zhaoqing, and he wanted to meet up when we got home. ... But, when we got back, Anita and I went and had a salad, and some waffles, from a new 'steak' house, called Mr Steak.We didn't wake until about 10.
