You'd be excused to think that you'd walked into any old clubbing establishment. People look Asian, of course, but yes, this could be Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Hong Kong, wherever. Flickering disco lights flash in a rainbow-pattern on repeat, the music is deafening, and everywhere, little Chinese girls with their hip haircuts and short dresses dance their way into the ultimate westernification. Drinks taste exactly the same, if a bit cheaper than their European counterparts, although you will have to point hysterically and use all sorts of sign...

Beijing now. What a wonderful town. Although the mighty "great pall of China" covers the sky with dust and smog, the little hutong alleys are filled with charm, the Forbidden CIty was a positive surprise, and the weather is pretty damn good. Oh, and they DO make good coffee. Sweeeet. Looking at our current route, one might wonder why we didn't hit Beijing before Shanghai and Huanghan? There's a very logical explanation to that, our friend Gry and travel-buddy Rasmus hit Beijing on the 15th, so with a little planning we could be in Beijing...
