After almost 24h, I made it to Beijing!! But let's start from the beginning. ... I don't have a boarding pass from Amsterdam to Beijing but I'm told I will get it in Amsterdam so I'm not too worried. ... Here I sit on a bench in a park along with three others from the tour on a bench built for two . Had our last dinner in Beijing and found out that the couple from Edmonton (Dane and Erica) had the misfortune of being on a flight that included someone with the H1N1 virus – they have been quarantined and will hve to stay behind for a couple of days. ... The hope is that they will be able to join us later in the trip, but I certainly hope that they do not develop the virus.Here I sit on a bench in a park along with three others from the tour on a bench built for two . I need to note that I had problems with pictures yesterday, then my access to the web locked up. After the Forbidden City we walked through the hutongs and learned about the original type of housing used in Beijing. ...
