This morning I had a lazy time, painting in my room. The weather was fine and not raining. I needed the rest as I had been visited by my beetle friends again last night. This afternoon we went to see the confluence, the merging of two lakes together. One was a pale opaque green and the other a bright blue. The rapids were fast and noisy and the area unspoilt, for the moment. The current is so strong that they are proposing to put a hydro plant in the river. Obviously the natives are restless about it. Jan 13, 2010 - the lodge day 2
I had a cosy nights sleep in my cabin last night. Mire fire did go out so at one point when I came out from under the covers, my nose got cold. Tonight I must do better. It was decided that I would go trekking today with Martin, who is an ecology student doing his practical year. We walked from the lodge uphill for three and a half hours (not bad for an old girl).
