from Saskatoon into Alberta the sky dominates the landscape An all day rain on Tuesday kept us from checking out Saskatoon, so that will have to wait for the next time we're in town. Wednesday morning we headed out of Saskatoon on Highway 16, the Trans Canadian Highway. The road goes northwest toward our destination for today, the Alberta border. 2010 Race 2 Finish

May 27, 2007 - Day Trip: Meadow Lake Provincial Park, Saskatchewan

We are staying here at the Meadow Lake Provincial Park so we can get new tires on Monday. After a short bicycle ride we put up our new U.S. and Canada maps on the side of our RV. It's kind of a lazy day. You need a day like this occasionally to regroup. John cleans the bugs from the windshield and I load CD's onto our IWAY. We take a bicycle ride to Raspberry Lake in the afternoon. It is my first trip on a trail through the woods. I do OK.

May 26, 2007 - Dorintosh, Saskatchewan

We start our morning looking for the Red River Park outside Prince Albert. Supposedly you can see beaver close up. We find the park and it is nice but no beaver. We head north and are finally leaving the prairie. We are in logging country and the scenery is better. The Poplar or is it Aspen trees are really nice. We make our midday stop at Big River where Tom and John fish for northern pike. The fish are biting but the cameraman isn't fast enough to catch the quick releases at the dock.
