Wednesday - Our only rainy day on our trip, so far. We decided to take a tour in the Jeep and headed out to Mauricie National Park. This is a Federal park, as opposed to a Provincial park. Everything was bilingual. The Provincial parks that are in Quebec are solely in French. After touring the visitor's center, we continued into the town of Shawinigan. Jul 9, 2013 - St-Jean-des-Piles

Tuesday - On the way out of La Tuque, we stopped by the Parc Des Chutes De La Petite Riviere Bostonnais. (Park of the Falls of the Little Bostonnais River). Another beautiful waterfall and excellent exhibits of the trappers and wildlife of the area. Dogs were welcome on the trails so we all hiked to the best vantage points for the waterfalls. Aug 17, 2006 - Day 55 Mont Saint-Hilaire to Pointe-du-Lac

126.9 kms @ 24.5 kph for 5hours 11 mins & total time of about 7 hours - planned distance 129 kms Another fabulous sunning day with little wind till later in the day . From Mont St-Hilaire we follow hwy 323 to Sorel along the Richelieu River - no wind , calm morning, sunshine - absolutely fabulous views along the river - continuous towns all " name sur Richelieu", housing , cottages, etc. Many prosperous farms - corn, potatoes, crop rotation and milk cows.
