There’s a new squeak and rattle in every kilometer Saturday morning We decided we wanted to drive north toward James Bay, and the nearest road into James Bay Municipality starts at Matagami. To get to Matagami from Lebel-sur-Quevillon you can either take a gravel road for 75 miles, or you can go the long way around and drive on pavement for four hours. We opted for the gravel road. 2010 Race 2 Finish

Jul 21, 2005 - Heading south again

We headed south again from Radisson back to Matagami. On the way back we stopped at the workers camp where there was a small café, mechanics shop and plenty of space to park in the back of the facility away from the trucks. At Matagami rather than stop at the campground which was very treed we found a wide open pull-in by a river which was quiet.
