Jul 25, 2011 - Checking the Jacks out

Today the coach went into the mechanics/chassis bay at Horizon Lussier to have them look at the slow DS back jack and leakage of hydraulic fluid below the jacks mechanisms. They found we needed a new back jack and by putting a mirror behind the mechanism that there was definitely a small leak on the fluid reservoir. At last somebody had identified the problems(Red Bay had looked at this in February although they had found a bolt loose they had not solved the problem of fluid leaking0. Jul 21, 2011 - Roof Re-engineering

The team of two from Red Bay arrived on Monday to repair our roof. The cracks were on the radius rails of the roof. The solution to repair the radius was to insert aluminium rails under the roof radius to strengthen the rails. The first two days was achieving this. The second two days was painting the repaired area. We were surprised we were the only coach being repaired and their appeared no training of any of the Horizon Lussier technicians. We know that Tiffin have a problem with all roofs from 2008 onwards which started to manifest...

Jul 14, 2011 - First two days at the workshop

We had arrived safely in Montreal. Our first two days at Horizon Lussier was spent dealing with most of the other thirty problems other than the roof we had with the coach. On the first day the technician spent seven hours trying to sort out the water leaks into our basements. They found all the doors needed aligning(This was supposed to have been done by Red Bay in Jan/Feb), one area had to be welded as the cabinet boxes were not properly attached to the chassis, sealant, rubbers etc checked/replaced as needed.
