Monday - After a relaxing morning at Val-Jalbert, we hit the road to our next destination, La Tuque. Well, it was relaxing for some of us. Roger decided to burn off some calories with a ride on his velo (bicycle). La Tuque was originally a fur trading post and was named for a hill that looks like a wool cap. In Quebec, these hats are know as tuques, hence the name. The forest industry still plays a large part in the economy of this town with a pulp mill just across the river from the campground.
