We based ourselves at La Baie close to Chicoutimi in order to explore the Saguenay Fjord. Also Tony was able to get his tooth repaired by a local dentist thanks to a wonderful lady in the Tourist Information Centre who helped us sort out an appointment. The Saguenay is the major tributary of the St Lawrence River, Very deep in places (up to 900ft) all sorts of marine life including whales and salmon are found in its tidal waters. The countryside through which the Saguenay Fjord twists and turns( sometimes between cliffs 590-980ft high)...
