Day Fifty Two – Aug 11 Hudson 165k The clouds hung low over Ottawa. It had rained the previous evening and the morning promised more rain. I carried my gear from my residence room to the truck and then went and had breakfast. All that was left was to get my bike out of the room, return the room key and then hit the road. Aug 13, 2011 - Ottawa to Hudson PQ

August 13 – Day 52- Ottawa to Hudson Quebec K’s 167k Time 6h 21m Average speed: 26.75k/H T to d 5361 Yahoo, the 5th province behind us as we entered Quebec today. Ontario was great but it was a long ride across so it is nice to enter province number six as we head for Newfoundland! Very long day in the saddle but the weather was great and the scenery was super. We crossed the Ottawa river twice by ferry to reach Hudson and the camp. We cycled with Jane and Fred all day and while the wind was no factor we did make good use of the pace...

Aug 11, 2008 - 51 Hudson QC -- Our Sixth Province

This was the longest day of the tour and I started behind the starting line since home is 9km from Carleton University. Actually I went downtown to link up with Bud's route and so only had a few kilometers more than the official distance. Still, by the end of the day I had ridden over 180km. The day started dry as I headed down familiar routes to downtown, along Sussex Drive and onto the Rockcliffe Parkway. Then we headed through some of suburbia and headed to the Ottawa River.
