We decided to take the north coastal route up to North Cape, the top of PEi. We got a campsite right on the Gulf of St. Lawrence at the Jacques Cartier provincial park. We stopped and bought Malbeque oysters and fresh haddock at the Royal fish market in Judas pt and brought them back to eat at the cg. The area up here is beautiful and the weather has been great- 70 degrees.

Aug 7, 2010 - Tour west side of Prince Edward Island (PICS LATER)

The island is divided into 3 sections - western, eastern and central with a narrow strip of land between each section. Today we explored the western section with my parents. PEI is a farming island and on the drive we saw fields of soybeans, barley, buckwheat, wheat, canola, corn and lots of potatoes. At the northwestern end of the island there is a point that has waves hitting it from 3 directions - north, east and west. While there we could see all waves coming from 2 directions and sometimes a wave coming from the north! Several...
