Yesterday in Cavendish it was very busy with people & dogs such a small area, we did not enjoy it. The bugs were on the attack again, bring out the spray.. There are so many Corn, potato fields everywhere, although we did not see any, we were told that there are numerous Cranberry marshes. We were staying just SE of Saint Peters Bay.

Jun 22, 2011 - Grenwich section of PEI National Park

Today we headed to the third section of PEI National Park. This is one of the least visited sections of the park but in our view the most beautiful. This section was added to the park in 1998 to protect the large and mobile parabolic dunes and associated counter-ridges found at the western tip of the peninsula on which this section is found. Before walking two of the trails we visited the interpretive centre which had some interesting exhibits on the dunes but also on the local mussel industry.
