With 10 days to use up in vacation days I chose to live it up a bit and rather than do my usual independent travelling to some exotic place where I choose my own adventure every day. I've never been and I haven't cycled more than 25km in one day in the past 20 years!!! I am running an 8k in Toronto on April 3, so my thinking is that this will be my cross-training in prep for that. ...

As I drive back to Toronto, where a dining room table full of ointments, anti-malarials, lenses, cords, quick dry clothing, pages of printed itineraries, and equipment sit, waiting to be organized, I dwell on the weeks ahead. ...
