On Sunday we headed for the Red River Exhibition across town. We were happy that we had a GPS as it took us right through the heart of Winnipeg and we found the exhibition grounds with no problem. .It was the last day of the fair and being a sunny day, it was fairly busy. There were a lot of carnival rides and commercial exhibits as well as a large netted area full of 30,000 butterflies you could enter and sit or walk among the beautiful butterflies. Jun 21, 2008 - Week 1- Victoria - Northern Ontario

So here we go. I haven't had too much time to actually stop in any one place along the road for more than a few hours (other than Herbert Sask, but I'll tell you about that later...) I'll just give you some of the highlights of the past week on the road. I started off by missing the 5pm ferry in Victoria by two minutes and the promised 6pm never appeared.
