Viewing the locks was quite interesting. I talked to a couple from SC who used to live in Westchester county in NY. I later ran into them at Tahquamenon Falls and at Whitefish Point where the lighthouse and the shipwreck museum are. the museum was depressing because of all that were lost at sea. In the lightkeeper's house, I saw some dishes that my mother used when I was little. In fact I have a couple of them still. Here are two pictures that go with the e-mail message. I'm still learning how to do this. All along the route in Canada there were these cairns or stone piles. In very olden times they were used as route markers or as a significant place. The traffic in Toronto was terrible. The snack of Funky Monkey (fruit & nuts) that Victor gave me kept my sanity. Gas is $1.40 per liter. There are 3.76 liters in a gallon. That makes it $5.26 a gallon. I guess we can't complain. It took 45 minutes to go 1 mile through customs. I was sitting on the...
