Dec 5, 2020 - Prepping for the 70th
Winter has arrived eh. Hope this finds all well and safe. Just a few seasonal pixs of the interior in a festive mood. I see my tremor adds a bit of special effects to them. Now that racing season is over had to find a place for some flags so voila the Bedford spa a la nascar theme was created. Enjoying the new abode immensely, in floor heat is especially pleasant. It seems to hold the heat really well, no more cold feet in the middle of the nite when you have to get up to answer nature lol. Not much more for tonite folks, again stay safe...

Grass is planted and up, 40 trees/bushes are in and growing so have been busy. Will post a few more pixs in days ahead. hope you all had a...

Aug 29, 2020 - Barrie KOA
What a year 2020 is turning out to be. In March we hurried home to quarantine away from the world to try and avoid contacting COVID-19. For the first two weeks it was just Glenna and I tucked away in our home. We started using Zoom to communicate with friends, and used Instacart to order our groceries and have them delivered to our front door. I started back to work after the quarantine was over. I basically interacted with my two brothers, and a few neighbours. When we couldn’t keep a safe social distance we would wear a mask. Masks have...

May 8, 2020 - Work continues
Hello all. As you can see the steel for the roof is going on, doors and windows are in place and the rear sun room is roofed. We hoped to have roof finished this week but unfortunately the wind and COLD weather has slowed the pace today. Roofing acts like a huge sail in the wind so that's why the slowdown. Watching final virtual race this weekend from N Wilksboro NC then its back to real racing next weekend from Darlington SC. They are planning 7 races in 11 days so should be interesting. As well no practicing or qualifying, just unload off...

Apr 12, 2020 - Here we go stage 1
Happy Easter to all. The build continues well with outside done, most interior walls up(we only made a couple of amendments) and awaiting arrival of roof trusses on tuesday. Was good to talk to all this week and hear how we are handling this new way of everyday life. I believe we are in it for the long haul on this one. We did have one emergency this week, our television packed it so off i went to get a new one. Smart TV let me tell you, hard to believe what they can do. We are both good here, do a daily check to watch new house and stay...

Mar 25, 2020 - Scary Time
What a week it has been. Glenna and I continued our trip north keeping as isolated as possible. After leaving South Carolina we only had two interactions with the public. We met the manager at the KOA in Washington,Pennsylvania to pay for our night’s stay and we handed our passports to border security to enter Canada at Fort Erie. We were really cutting it close as RV parks were forced to close to all new entrants the next day in Pennsylvania In the south the public was relatively casual about social distancing. As we moved north we noticed...
