We left Shelburne after a lovely visit. The run to Yarmouth was not as bad, but it was the longest 82 miles we have ever done. It seemed like we would never get there. It took over 10 hrs in decent seas. The current that we thought would be with us, was not, so we did not make good time. That was ok, since the seas were calm and the fog were not so bad. We did what is called the inside route, so we got to see some islands, and more critters. Many lighthouses with our camera going full bore. We had trouble getting dock space at the town pier...

Aug 7, 2009 - Drama on the Foggy Sea

many of the photos have been removed to make room for more recent ones There was some drama on the foggy seas Friday – but wait, that actually came later in the morning, and so although less exciting, I’d better keep on track and tell what happened first, then explain the drama. We decided to ride the bike along the Digby Neck and take ferries to ride down Long Island and the smaller outer island, Brier Island.
