Jul 23, 2009 - The Bay of Fundy

We are back at the Bay of Fundy, but on another coast. This is a great place to observe the effects of the tides, quite dramatic. Around Five Islands the ocean floor which is exposed as the tide goes out is covered with high nutrient red gooey mud. After loosing my Keens and nearly loosing my balance pulling them out of the mud, I retreated to the rocks and sand. People where out there clamming.
