The province of Newfoundland and Labrador is very wild and remote, with wide open spaces and solitude around every turn. A highlight was the Gros Morne National Park which has grand table topped mountains sliced by huge glacier-carved fiords. ... We started the day by waking up to fog! We had a lazy morning because we had to wait until the lighthouse premises opened at 10, so we enjoyed the views in a fog bank. After that we went back into the middle of Bonavista town, and saw some historic old buildings. ...
