What a long day! We were up early...yes early....5:30 am for me as this day trip is about 400 km one way! And this is not a 100 km an hour road and no shoulders! I am not sure why the highway was not busy but that suited us just fine. There are lots of little towns along the coastline drive and several stops that a person could make. If we did that we would need to stay overnight along the way but we decided not to do that. 7/11 – 7/12 It took us two days to drive 134 miles to Saint Lunaire. We stopped at an abandoned gas station for the first night in Saint Barbe. The second day we stopped along the way to visit the Thrombolites in Flowers Cove. These things appear to be round rocks but are actually 650 million year old growths containing millions of algae and bacteria. These “rocks” are very rare and can only be seen here and in Australia.
