This morning my mom and I went to the United Church of Canada in Carbonear. It is the Canadian equivalent of the Methodist church. The service was far from dynamic (bland would be a better adjective), but they did baptize twins. After, we met up with Bert Parsons who is the church historian and related to the Rowe family in some distant way that even he has not yet figured out. He took us to the cemetery where we saw the graves of Benjamin and Edna Rowe, parents of John (my maternal grandfather) and William as well as John and Mary Rowe,...
