Well this is our last night in NFLD , this campsite was the first one we started the journey in NFLD, and now our final night. We met a few couples along the way, who have become friends, and sat around the fire sharing stories and adventures. Tomorrow we get on the ferry back to N Sydney NS. We will always remember you NFLD , from one end to the other!

Jul 1, 2015 - Cape Ray, Newfoundland

We were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to visit Newfoundland, and what an opportunity it would be. Blessed with great weather, and stunning landscapes, we loved our time in Newfoundland. Our first and last days were both spent soaking up the sun, surfing and eating great food in beautiful Cape Ray. The surf was small, but conditions were clean, I took out my trusty fish and caught dozens of cruisey little lefts. A great start to an even more wonderful time in Cape Ray.

Jul 28, 2012 - Codroy Valley to J.T. Cheesman Provincial Park

Well, I have had my tea and everyone is still sleeping. If you have ever traveled with me, you know I like to get going in the morning! The next few days will be pushing it, and we were up last night. They had their little campfire in the grill. S'mores but no stories. The bugs were bad. Chandler was tired. Gavin wanted his usual evening ritual...Scooby Doo on the little DVD. I was writing in the journal and putting away clothes so we all stayed up too late. Jul 5, 2012 - Newfoundland has been a Province of ohhhs and ahhhs

A few days ago, we drove out to Trout River from Rocky Harbour. The things that caught our attention are in the pictures. The community of Trout River can hardly be called a town, more like a very small village. Several homes have handmade wool socks on the line in the front yard for purchase, very colorful and unique as well. Some local children were walking along the road in swimming suits after having spent this summer day in the river. The air temperature was about 70, maybe that's a hot summer day for the kids in Newfoundland. We have...
