Sep 15, 2011 - Moncton, NB

It rained quite hard during the night of the 7/8 and rained most of the way to Moncton on September 8. We are staying at Stonehurst Golf and Trailer Park. It stopped raining soon after we arrived and the sun came out and the clouds went away. Wasn't supposed to happen! On the 9th we went to Hopewell Rocks. 100 billion tonnes of water rush in and out of the Bay each day and it has been nominated for one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature (top 28, voting ends November 11/11). We took the shuttle down to the top of the stairs and Larry went down...

We crossed the Confederation Bridge this morning leaving delightful Prince Edward Island heading to Moncton, New Brunswick. Aug 29, 2011 - Moncton, New Brunswick

Today started around 0200 this morning when we were awakened by the winds blowing extremely hard and the slide-out toppers sounding as if they were about be torn away from the motorhome. We got up and retracted all four slide-outs and in the process Ross noticed the power was out. Ross went outside to check if the breaker had tripped and found that it had not and that the commercial power was out. There was lightening so he removed the power cord from the power post. We also discovered that there was no water pressure which made sense since...

Our party yesterday afternoon was a great success and we lucked out with regards to the rain as everyone had left for home about twenty minutes before some showers arrived. This party was for all of Marge's family in Fredericton. Hopefully, the party was for our arriving and visiting and not that we were finally departing. Around 1500 Lida and her daughter Andrea arrived in the campground. Lida is a very close friend of ours that is also a nursing classmate of Marge. Her daughter Andrea is a professor at the University of Northern British...

After spending the night at the KOA in North Sydney, Nova Scotia we headed back to Moncton, New Brunswick to stop for the night. We are looking forward to spending a couple of days cleaning and relaxing from all the driving we have done. It seems like we have been on the road forever because the days have flown by. We have picked up a traveling visitor along...

Aug 1, 2011 - 1'st travel day

Today was our first day of travel to get into Canada. We left BI at 8:15 am and arrived in Moncton, New Brunswick at about 6:30 pm (7:30 local time). It was a long day but very easy travel so we were able to stay relaxed. We got through customs just fine and we even got the stern security woman to smile a little bit. One of the questions she asked was if we were going to visit someone in Newfoundland and I told her we were visiting the Vikings. She cracked a little smile. Today we will head for Sydney to stay overnight in a Wal Mart in...
