Aug 27, 2014 - Day 18 - Big Whiteshell campground

We traveled a short distance today (72km), from West Hawk Lake campground to another, Big Whiteshell. The trip there was slow going and twisty, but the day was glorious, so we took our time. We stopped at Inverness Falls for lunch, although we didn't take the trail into the bush and leave the amazing sun. We arrived at Big Whiteshell at about 2PM and, once we got settled in our campsite, we sat out in the sun, read some of our recently acquired brochures and generally vegged...what a wonderful experience...the first day with such great...

Aug 26, 2014 - Day 17 - Rushing River to Whiteshell Prov Park

After leaving Rushing River, we stopped in Kenora for a walkabout. We crossed the provincial border into Manitoba today and are staying the first of three nights in the campgrounds of Whiteshell Provincial Park. As we arrived, we saw many deer in the campground, wandering among the camper trailers. They may have been fed previously, but certainly have no fear of the campers.

Jun 10, 2013 - Day 4 Falcon Beach

Confusing layout of campsites - ie: numbering. Office closed upon arrival so found a spot and parked for night. Went to pay in morning and office was closed til 10:00 and we wanted to leave so left. Took pictures of camel at Glenboro in morning. In afternoon tookpicture of Moose at Dryden.
