Jun 20, 2018 - Swan River to The Pas

I’m still heading north along a very scenic road with the Porcupine Mountains to the west & Lake Winnipegosis to the east for most of the day. The Pas, Manitoba - Aseneskak Casino Parking Today, we arrived at the Aseneskak Casino for an overnight stay. We enjoyed a wonderful casino buffet dinner. We are dry camping with no electricity. We will be relying on our generator and propane heater to get us through the night. By the way, our temperature has dipped quite a bit. Today, we were 37 – 43 degrees. When we leave tomorrow for Thompson, MB, the temperature is dropping to around 25 degrees. Thompson here we come!

You can see in the picture the thunderclouds we encountered. The picture was taken about 9pm. It had just turned dark at 11pm when we finally pulled into The Pas. We did takeout at the Macdonald’s as it was the...

They won't "play nice" an allow others to use their communication towers!! There is one exception and that is Winnipeg!! But we are outside Winnipeg!!! So we are sitting in the coffee shop at the gas station using our computers!! We headed to Swan River for the night and aimed north to The Pas. There Dale's brother arranged for us to...
