Yesterday during my walk into town I came across a muffler shop & talked to the bloke about having a look at the tail-pipe on the motorhome which seems to be very low. He told me to bring it around about 11:00 am, which happened to be right in the middle of the Nick Krygios & Andy Murray match at Queen’s. He had a good look but told me it was just a very bad design & it was all quite solid. It makes me feel better because I knew if it fell off, then it would be an expensive job to fix. Jun 18, 2018 - Swan River

I walked into town this morning to the Post Office to mail a card to a special little person who’s having birthday #3 at the end of the month. I had a nice chat to the ladies in the Post Office who then told me I should go & get out of the heat – it was 27C, forecast to get all the way to 30C today. I couldn’t find anything of interest in the town & it was too far to walk to the Tourist Information so I came back & watched the tennis (Queen’s Club London). I’ve read that in the early 1800s, Swan River was one of the regions being disputed...

Jun 17, 2018 - Dauphin to Swan River

Because the main summer season hasn’t started yet, a lot of the attractions are only open on weekends at this time of year. Not in Dauphin. Fort Dauphin which also contains the 2nd Tourist Information office, is open 9-5 Mon to Fri. How stupid. I was already steaming a bit before I got there because the supermarket I shopped at didn’t accept Visa, just Mastercard or cash. Fortunately I had just enough cash – I think I had 15 cents left so then I had to find an ATM which I finally tracked down at a 7-Eleven store. At least my new PIN...
