I left Ontario & entered Manitoba about 50 km west of Kenora. There was a good Tourist Information office at the border so I stocked up on all kinds of literature which I’ve spent the afternoon going through. I remembered that fuel was considerably cheaper in Manitoba last year (it was considerably cheaper everywhere last year), so I waited until I’d crossed the border when it dropped from 139.9 to 125.9 so it was worth it. Jun 28, 2009 - Hey the last entry went so trying another

same day as the 1st but different days and places. lac du bonnet man. Andrew foung a lake cottage he would love to have and its for sale. I hope I have talked him out of it as all our family is in Alberta. We had a great time with more relatives my cousin Sylvia and her husband Norm they have a beautiful place right on the Winnipeg River

Jan 9, 2009 - Clear to go!

Well I went to the Doctor on Monday and he gave us the A-okay to head south this year. This was the same morning that we got up to -34c with windchill about -44. SO the decision to head south was an easy one. We are not taking the motor home this year as we don't want to fight the roads especially towing our car behind. We have experienced icy and snow covered roads while travelling in the motor home and it is not fun. So we leave the poor thing back home while we go to get warm. Dec 19, 2007 - Who the heck left the freezer dooor open!!!!!!

Well yes it is cold now. About -10C, not in Florida but in Lac du Bonnet. We came home for Christmas. Left the condo on Thursday Dec 14th and it was raining. The first rain we saw in 5 weeks. Still hot and humid but the first day of what we could consider bad weather. So far the weather Gods seem to be smiling on us. We drove to Port Richey and stashed our clothes and stuff at the motorhome. COnfirmed our site for when we return Jan 3rd and left for Tampa.
