Since we spent 10 days visiting Mike’s Canadian cousins, I have much to update in this journal – and may not get it all done before we get home. The weather has been hot and sunny for most of our stay, but today the rain came and stayed with us on and off most of the way to Brandon. ... :-) We arrived in Brandon in the early afternoon and went first to the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan museum. ... No swimming pool nearby, so planned on heading to Brandon area where they have another big swimming/skating complex. ... After a 200 mile drive we arrived in Brandon, Manitoba and had to move our clocks forward an hour as we are back in Central Time. ... Jun 12, 2006 - Brandon to Minnesota-Out of the mosquitoes, through the bullflies, and now into the land of the lakes.

We said Brandon would be interesting, and Grandma Hazel did not disappoint! Before getting there though, we stayed at a rest stop outside of Minnedosa, MB on Wednesday night - we had braved the potholes and 'busted a move' out of Saskatchewan. ... Thursday morning we arrived at Grandma Hazel's to find that the Brandon Summer Fair was on directly across the street. ... Since the fair was on, there was no parking on the street, and we ended up staying in the CO-OP parking lot for two nights, which was okay, since it was right behind Grandma Hazel's.We said Brandon would be interesting, and Grandma Hazel did not disappoint!
