Au lever, il pleut doucement et nous repartons vers une boulangerie du coin pour le petit déjeuner. Les photos montrent quelques spécimens… De Nanaimo, nous nous rendons à Victoria, encore 2 heures de route Le temps est pluvieux et Victoria moins intéressant dans ce contexte. ... Après quelques heures de visite et de café pour nous réchauffer en chemin, nous reprenons la route du retour c'est-à-dire, 2 heures pour revenir au traversier de Nanaimo de 19h.Au lever, il pleut doucement et nous repartons vers une boulangerie du coin pour le petit déjeuner. Since leaving Pender Harbor we scooted through Discover Pass and anchored just off the city of Nainamo. So we timed our visit to Victoria’s inner harbor to coincide with the arrival of our moms. ... We had a full day of sightseeing in Victoria. ... Not long after our arrival, there seemed to be some commotion behind the ticket counter, then the captain came out and announced he would take us to Victoria but would not bring us back. ... In Victoria, we stayed in the downtown area choosing to visit the Royal BC Museum instead of Butchart Gardens. ... Today we rode the Victoria Express ferry over to Victoria on Vancouver Island (in Canada, one last time!). ... After the Gardens, we strolled around downtown Victoria a little while before catching the ferry back. ... 309 DAY MILES & 5,040 TRIP MILES plus 840 total ferry miles. It seemed really strange in down town Victoria with all the big buildings, cars, and people everyplace. ... Actually what I saw of the city of Victoria was very impressive and it looked like expensive would be the best definition. ... Today we had a relaxing morning toured around the Chemainus Gardens RV park before we drove the short hope into Victoria. ... We arrived to Fort Victoria by 1100 am, early enough they had to move us as they other rig wasn't checked out yet. ... Now we have new rubber on both leading tires!! After re-setting up the trailer, we popped around Victoria touring the Craigdarroch castle and undersea gardens. ... Craigdarroch was the home of a wealthy victoria lumber man and had an interesting past as the family members moved in and out, it was a hospital in WWII and eventually was repossessed by the bank of Montreal. ...

21 juillet, Aujourd'hui, on a fait deux choses importantes: la grasse matinée et une visite au musée royal de la C-B. Avant et après notre visite au musée, on a marché dans la ville pour découvrir les différents quartiers, dont le Bastion Square où était situé le Fort Victoria au moment de la ruée vers l'or à la fin des années 1800, le Chinatown (et oui, il y en a un!) et une toute petite ruelle où on pouvait trouver de l'opium dans les années 1910, avant que le gouvernement en fasse une drogue illégale. ... Lisa and Anna took a daytrip to Victoria, BC, across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. ...
