Aug 1, 2008 - Whistler - Tofino (314 km forget it --------> 986 KILOMETER tnx to rockslide)

Ik kan dus nog even mijn ogen dicht doen, want been there, done...

The staff at AirCanada were quite shirty with us ... "you are meant to check in at a least an hour before" .. I mean, we were 2mnutes past that deadline, and if the AirCanada international check was situated where is is meant to be (like in the international departures area) we would have been on time. Anyway, fortunately I have previously checked in online, so we managed to squeak in.

Aug 18, 2007 - Island Retreat!

Saturday afternoon, August 18 It's raining. Again. Hearing "rain again" so often, you probably think I'm getting tired of it. Truth is, it's been both refreshing and aggravating! When we're in the car, trying to locate sights, hampered by a deluge of rain falling on the windshield, it is, admittedly, not my favorite thing. On the other hand, the sound of softly falling rain is quite soothing. Makes a body want to slow down, stay absolutely still and enjoy the moment. So that's what I'm doing - listening ... enjoying ... writing. And I...
