Aug 22, 2012 - Side Trip

Today we took a trip to an area called Tumbler Ridge. It's a huge recreation area with lots of hiking trails and awesome scenery. First we stopped in a town called Chetwynd, where they host an international chainsaw carving competition each June. We saw some amazing carvings that are on display all over the tiny town. Then we figured it was time to get outside and see some stuff. There is all kinds of wildlife here and we thought we'd see moose - but NO! Alaskan Adventure

Jul 7, 2008 - Tumbler Ridge & Kinuseo Falls

I just might have to admit Eric picked the better road and place to visit......sheeeesh...he will never let me live this down....or at least not till the trip is over. But, it also depends on what anyone likes. The road over to Hudson's Hope (Route 29 north) was in better shape, wider and newer pavement. The road into Tumbler Ridge (Route 29 south) is still OK, but just not as good. The trip to Hudson's Hope took us through pretty land, the river valley and lots of lakes, where today we traveled across...
