Aug 5, 2011 - Day Two
Woke up early, enjoyed breakfast and headed to Salmon Arm for supplies. After a few pit-stops on Disa's behalf, groceries and supplies were purchased and ready to go. Simon spent 12 dollars on a "women's vitality" trail mix haha. Headed East through Revelstoke and into Glacier National Park. Stopped to walk the Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk. Nice humid day. Continued East through Golden and into the Rockies. Beautiful rugged mountains. Traffic really picked up and the driving became more of a chore, but finally arrived in Banff National Park....Jump to full entry
Mar 24, 2008 - Out of town now...
It is spring here finally and although things are still pretty grey looking the crocus and snow drops are in full bloom and my tulips are more than peaking from the ground:)We live close to the lake so our snow has been gone for some time but you can still see it in the mountains in the area. Today I headed out with my family for a walk and had to encourage them several times to keep up...lol...so when we returned from enjoying the beautiful sunshine i set out to walk on my own...in the time I put in almost 6 miles the weather went from...Jump to full entry
