We decided to see the two museums in Teslin before hitting the road. They were very interesting covering the history of the Teslin Area with an emphasis on the Indian Culture and it’s characters. Our drive was uneventful today with no wildlife to speak of. We decided to drive to Tagish Campground – a government campground that is run by the local Indians. Jun 12, 2009 - We Reach Skagway Alaska At Last

June 12 and we awoke at the roadside parking area that serves a historic cabin site in BC, just 5 miles from the Alaska border. This is a BC Historic site but the government of BC has decommissioned the site and abandoned it. Now the railroad uses part of it and the rest is an unmaintained parking area. After a quick breakfast we got underway and crossed the border into Alaska and on down to Skagway.
