After Janice fed us a great breakfast we took off so that she would not be too late for work. Dingy [our GPS] got us onto I-405 headed north. Using the diamond lane it was clear sailing. We merged with I-5 and continued north to Bellingham. At that point I made a fateful choice – I elected to head for Sumas to cross into Canada. I figured that there would be much less traffic on that route and a shorter line at the border. All went speedily right up to Canadian Customs. I thought we had it made – WRONG!
