There was concern that the flooding Okanagan River along Highway 97 would cause a problem but it didn’t. The border crossing was a piece of cake for everyone. Possession of fire arms was the main concern of the border guards. We each spent about 10 minutes chatting with the guards then were on our way. Our arrival date at the Princeton Golf & RV Resort coincided with the start of Victoria Day weekend. For many Canadian people, the long Victoria Day weekend marks the end of the winter and the unofficial start of the spring or summer season....

We awoke to a cloudy morning but the sky did not look too threatening. After breakfast we spent the morning inside attending the first presentation of the day; “The Achievable Dream”. which offers a fairly complete how-to for riding a motorcycle around the world. We had seen this presentation before but it was still useful as there were specific questions being asked and answered which added new information for us. At lunch it began raining and everyone was forced to find whatever shelter they could while eating. (later on in the afternoon...
