We played golf yesterday. The course was so green and so manicured and well kept. Surrounded by desert mountains and overlooking the lake. There are rattlesnakes here so I made sure I didn't hit any balls into the shrubs. We came back and attended to our laundry. It is no chore to do it at these places as all the machines are industrial and it is all washed dried and put away within an hour. We had a hot tub while all that was being done and a storm came through, so how lucky were we to get golf in and then to be in the hot tub looking out...

Oct 6, 2013 - Our adventure into the US.

We are really enjoying our time here in Osoyoos. It is the most beautiful spot. We are right on the lake. The place is known as a desert ( although it doesn't fit the bill in every category apparently) because of low rainfall and the vegetation. We are surrounded by huge dry saltbush covered mountains which are awe inspiring but the valley is so green ( thanks to a canal put in about 1840 so it could be farmed.) It is full of vineyards and orchards, apples,cherries, stone fruit and almost anything you can think of. Fruit stalls everywhere...

Oct 4, 2013 - Settling in

Well it's been a few days. Now that we aren't really on the road our lives have become pretty boring. We arrived back in Kelowna Wed afternoon and found an RV park. Went to a few and lots closed and some full. The one we found had a lot of permanents, though it was only a small park. Quite a few tents all strung together. Lots of trailer trash. Great location over the road from a lake and all the shops on the other side. I think the only reason some of these parks are still open is for the permanents to stay and that's why there are so...
