Aug 30, 2012 - Searching for fossils

Aug. 30, 2012 We had a great cup of coffee at Mud Sharks this morning while we waited for the tour. The curator of the Courtney and District Museum and Paleontology Center was our guide. He showed us around the museum and gave us its history. It was built around a very important fossil that was found in this area. An Elasmosaur is a marine reptile with a very long neck, alive 80 million years ago. The museum also has great exhibits from the local First Nation (native American) people.
