Jun 7, 2012 - Meziadin Lake Provincial Park

June 6 Today was a drive day. It was cold and rainy all day again. We are all tired of it. We were told by one of the visitor centers that the weather will improve on Thursday or Friday. We drove through such pretty areas today, but the photos I took were all dark. Wait – tomorrow is Thursday. Sunshine sure would be nice. Jul 6, 2011 - Stewart, BC and Hyder, AK

Cold night. Temperature was 5 C. This is July ? Headed south on the Cassiar. Great drive. Lots of bear evidence on the shoulders of the road. (poop). It ended up being a four bear day. Yeah, we had sun during our drive from Boya Lake. Another beautiful drive. We stopped in Jade City -- oh oh!! Bought some jade jewelry!! Today, we saw a ferret crossing the road and a baby black bear -- both too fast to take a photo. Meziadin Lake Provincial Park is one of the prettiest that we have camped since being on the road.

On our 200 mile trek along the Cassiar Highway we did chance to see a fox and a larger black bear. I have not filled my propane tank since we left home and when I checked it today we were down to a little over a quarter of a tank. With a freezer full of fish I do not want to run out. So as we made our way down the highway we made several stops in search of propane. We did not find anyone who had a working pump to fill...
