It's Canada Day. How fitting that it coincides with the first anniversary of our adventure. Having visited Canada from coast to coast and having visited many other wonderful places in North America gives us lots to reflect upon - where we are from, what belong to, what belongs to us. When you explore Canada by road, you get an admittedly linear view of a vast land. But you meet so many people with wonderful traditions and cultures and dialects. Jun 1, 2008 - Kaslo - Big Mountains, Little Village
Simon made it home safely. And so did I, thanks to the deck crew on the ferry for letting keep my engine running. Emma and Manon have settled in and have started to make acquaintances in Kaslo. We will be living for the summer in Harvey right in the village in the yard of one of the Moyie's board members, a wonderful lady named Kay. There is a real sense of community, of neighbours helping neighbours. It is remarkably diverse for a small village.
