19 September 2019 6.30am breakfast, gear on, and off on the estuary tour at 7.30am with Bryn in search of bears. Tried a different spot first hoping to spot a black bear, but he was not co-operating. Moved up towards the estuary and wasn't too long before we spotted a big bear strolling along the shoreline, probably Flora. She was moving quite fast, not stopping to eat, and we were able to keep pace with her in our boat. It was low tide, so Bryn was out of the boat a few times pushing it along. 2019 Bear Hunt

Sep 18, 2019 - Knight Inlet

18 September 2019 Up early for breakfast which starts at 6.30am. All tours get underway at 7.30am, but today we are on the Marine Tour and leave at 7.45am. The Marine Tour is a full day trip to see what we can find in whales and other sea life. Breakfast done and we are all suited up and join two other couples for our adventure. The rain has cleared, but the fog has rolled in. Made for some nice scenery, and it eventually cleared to a perfect day. 2019 Bear Hunt

Sep 17, 2019 - Campbell River to Knight Inlet

17 September 2019 Alarms set again for early rise. Breakfast at 6.45am and on our way to seaplane terminal before 8am. The predicted winds and rain duly arrived during the night, and Campbell River was very wet. All passengers, 22 in all, arrived on time and after registering at the office & depositing our small cases, we were "entertained" by Harold with all the preliminaries. He was a real character, and gave us lots of laughs. We were divided into two groups, 10 to go in the white plane (that's us four) and 12 in the orange plane. We...
