Last I left off I was getting my feet tickled by little fish, and boy did it tickle! The next day (Sunday) we boarded a bus down to Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia). ... The last couple days have been pretty extreme. what??? Coming here I had heard of this temple/area and just assumed that it was one big temple and the main sight to see in the Siem Reap area. ... Boy was I wrong! Angkor Wat is the most famous and biggest of the temples, but there are TONS of others in the surrounding area.The last couple days have been pretty extreme. what??? We zitten nu in Laos, en het internet en computers zijn nog slechter dan in Cambodja dus kunnen de foto's er nu helaas niet opzetten. 2 Maart stappen we in de minibus naar Ban Lung (Noord Cambodja). ... Vijf uur later komen we aan in het stoffige Ban Lung, waar alleen de hoofdweg geasfalteerd is. ... Voor de rest veel zand en nog veel meer stof! Well, today is the main reason for coming to Cambodia. This is a parade run by NGOs (Non-Government Organisations) that are helping disadvantaged and orphaned children in Siem Reap. ... Basically the children design big puppets and then with the help of adults make them and then have a parade through Siem Reap to the park which is across the river from us. ... We sit for ages by the bridge to the point that I start to wonder whether we’re in the right place but after about ¾ hour we see the traffic police start to close the roads off and we can hear a load of noise in the distance.Well, today is the main reason for coming to Cambodia.
