27th January Nothing much happened...beach although it was very windy and very hot. Stayed till around 2pm. Showered, realised we'd both gotten burned...idiots! Bus to Cabo Frio. 25th January Uneventful day. Uber to the airport for our flight. We didn't check out too early because the flight was 15:50. Watched a couple of episodes of blindspot because the weathers still not ok here. Ordered the uber and thank goodness we're going. 4 bus loads of kids have just arrived! Eek! 23rd January Went down for breakfast to be told that we had to have a ticket for breakfast. Well that's a bit of a lie; they told us something but we had no clue as to what it was. The cafe person had to go find someone who spoke English because, oh, ibis has a hotel in one of the most popular tourist places to go in Brazil and they don't require, as they did in Vitoria, where there's not many tourists, to speak English. 22 January No sleep last night. I even mistook the time and got up and showered, washed my hair etc. Came out of the shower and Guy wanted to know what I was doing at 4 am showering. Off to Valanca 14 January We plan to get the last ferry at 6pm today to Valenca. Our bus leaves at 10pm for a night trip to Porto Seguro. What really happened...... We paid for a late check out. We had breakfast then went to the right of the hotel as far as we could for a walk. Met an Argentinian young man who's working in a bar. 10 January Today is walking day. We walked left out of our hotel. At the too of the road is a square. It has the church of St Antonio which we'd seen before, and a children's play area and there's a fort. First of all, they're washing the playground with soap and hose pipes and everything. Yesterday we walked into the old city centre which is where were staying. We needed to buy our catamaran tickets for Sunday to Morro de São Paulo. And post postcards. Walked and walked. Travelling to Brazil on 6/01/20 with BA. Uneventful except when the FA served the drinks, we poured them, turbulence started. Guy ended up with a JD & coke over his trousers and the chap in the adjacent seat got out his bible, put on his little skull cap and started praying and crying.
