Dec 30, 2007 - Segundo dia na estrada

Saímos de Sorocaba com destino a Porto Alegre só que não conseguimos chegar lá. Logo no início da viagem pegamos uma serra e eu enjoei, vomitei e tivemos que parar para eu melhorar. Decidimos dormir em Caxias do Sul mas como não tínhamos reserva de hotel tivemos que arranjar uma de última hora. Quando chegamos no hotel vimos que não tinha comida, a única coisa para comer era hambúrguer de frango, e sucos vagabundos. Dessa vez tinha cama para mim.

We couldn't decide where to go from Foz, and came to Caxias just because the bus came this way at the time we wanted to go! Luckily, the girls at the tourist information stand were really helpful, and found us somewhere to stay and gave us lots of information on the area. WE had an easy day exploring the town, and when we got back to our hotel (a liberal use of the word!), Stephanie, one of the girls from tourist information, was there to invite us to have dinner and stay with her family the next night!! Monday 15th January Got into the bus station at 8.30am feeling a little worse for wear. Breakfast consisted of dulche con leche which I can only describe as a cup of treacle made with condensed milk accompanied by a biscuit filled with, wait for it.....milk butter! Talk about sugar overload. Helped to get me going out of the bus station in confident I don't need a taxi style. Very different atmosphere here in Brazil that you notice immediately.
