Jul 24, 2006 - The Pantanal

So, four nights in the Pantanal in Brazil... Seemed like a good idea at the time, but hindsight suggests that paying to go and try and sustain a serious injury and possibly being eaten is a little foolish! From Campo Grande, we got a bus up to a place in the middle of nowhere, where we were herded in to a jeep, all 9 of us, with luggage, for the 2 hour trip up to Passo da Lontra, where we stayed, in a hostel raised off the ground on sticks by a river - a really nice place.
