Back on the coast and getting ready for language school, I went to Morro de São Paulo on Tinharé island 2.5 hours by catamaran from Salvador. The idea had been to relax on the beach for a few days before starting portuguese classes. Despite the heat, even under an umbrella, I managed to read a bit more of Far from the Madding Crowd which I'd picked up in Mendoza in early December!
