Von San Pedro kommt man am besten über die Grenze nach Bolivien, indem man eine Jeep-Tour durch die Wüste Südboliviens nach Uyuni macht. Schliesslich waren wir am Abend an der Laguna Colorada, die so heisst, weil sie je nach Sonneneinstrahlung und Wind ihre Farbe wechselt. ... This day was essentially a full day of driving from site to site (Actually, the whole tour was a lot of sitting in the back of a dusty, bumpy vehicle and watching the scenery go by). Our drive ended at Laguna Colorada, a basic mining/military camp and our accommodation for the evening. ... We left for the first day of this three day trip at about 10:00 AM and it was cold. We had to drive well after dark to find this little out of the way compound near the Laguna Colorada that we stayed at the first night. ... To say that this four day trip was an attack on the senses is an understatement! The combined 3 hour bus ride and 7 hour train journey to Uyuni was well worth the time and the effort! Being hounded by what felt like all of the 54 tour operators at the train station on arrival at 23:30, we realised that it wouldn't be difficult to get onto a trip, so decided to book first thing in the morning.To say that this four day trip was an attack on the senses is an understatement! The combined 3 hour bus ride and 7 hour train journey to Uyuni was well worth the time and the effort! Being hounded by what felt like all of the 54 tour operators at the train station on arrival at 23:30, we realised that it wouldn't be difficult to get onto a trip, so decided to book first thing in the morning....
