In Copacabana angekommen wurden wir gleich von Hostel-Besitzern bestuermt und jeder hatte das bessere Angebot. ... Danach ging es dann nochmal eine halbe Stunde weiter zum Boot, welches uns wieder nach Copacabana brachte. ... Den ersten Tag den wir am Lago Titicaca, genauer gesagt in Copacabana, verbracht haben verlief ziemlich unspektakulaer da Ines mit einer Nasennebenhoehlenentzuendung im Bett lag bzw. ... ---------------------------------------------- Our first day at Lago Titicaca, more precisely in Copacabana, was pretty low key and I spent it mostly alone as Ines lay in bed with a bad cold and even had to go to a hospital. ... With all the legalities sorted we were then allowed to board the bus again and complete the short journey to Copacabana, which is also on the shores of Lake Titicaca. ... There are no cash machines in Copacabana (well there is one but it only accepts Bolivian bank cards) and the bank was closed, so our first task was to find a reasonable looking exchange booth. ... Once we had converted some US Dollars (we had come prepared) into Bolivianos we were able to get some food and treat ourselves to a bottle of wine to drink on our lovely terrace while the sun set - which was a very nice start to our time in Bolivia! The next day we took a ferry boat to the Isla del Sol, which is on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca, where we took a brisk 4 hour walk across the island to ensure we met our boat back to Copacabana. ... There are no roads or motor vehicles on the island - you just tend to meet lots of pigs, a few donkeys and the odd cow along the way! The boat got us back to Copacabana just in time for another amazing sunset to complete our lovely stay in Copacabana. ...

We´re now in Copacabana, neither the famous one in Brazil or indeed the one Barry Manilow sings about, but Bolivia´s version, a small resort town on the coast of Lake Titicaca, just over the border from Peru. ... So today I mostly ran errands. After I got the visa, I went straight to buy a bus ticket, and I left a few hours later for Copacabana, Bolivia. ... Finally the first guy just stamped my passport and let me go! So yes, I got off easy! And then I finished my trip to Copacabana, arriving just in time to see the sun set over Lake Titicaca. ...
