As you can see, Brussels is a glorious city. As the sun was setting, we entered Rochefort and were surrounded by green, canopy trees, rolling hills, and signs leading us to Roman ruins and a castle--we couldn't wait! Finally, we parked our car and went in search of our hotel. ... All mentioned in the guide book were closed for the season, but we found a place run by two old French men that cost 60 Euro that included breakfast and our own bathroom (oh yes, we forgot to mention that often times you will not have your own bathroom when you stay in Europe)! After we settled in, we went out to buy a cheap bottle of area wine, we ate a wonderful Belgian meal, drank local Rochefort Trappiste beer, relaxed, and talked about our trip thus far. ... One of Todd's main dreams on this trip was to rent a bike and ride through the countryside in search of breweries.As you can see, Brussels is a glorious city.
