Hello everyone, after checking the site we see that our map course had us sailing off into the great blue yonder. So we have changed the map, unfortunately it does not show some of our stops on Eleuthera Island. Rock Sound was our last stop before crossing the Exuma Sound to Warderick Wells and the Exuma Cays. It was a great day sailing with a beam reach all the way, 10 to 15 knot winds with 4 to 6 foot seas. Smooth sailing with Admiral Deb at the helm and Capt'n John fishing. Mar 5, 2007 - Along the Bights

From delightful San Salvador we set off along the western bights of Cat and Eleuthera, to eventually reach Nassau before 7 March. Our reservations for Atlantis take up on that day and Bill and Melissa arrive from Arlington the next day. We plan to anchor out until then and the only complications involve the full moon and the residual weather patterns that have caused recent damage in Alabama. Feb 21, 2007 - Rock Sound

Continuing 47 miles south along the coast of Eleuthera we enjoyed a pleasant 6 hr cruise to Rock Sound, the largest town on the island and the most modern as far as finding services and provisions. We did not find a laundrymat or wireleless internet although a couple of local businesses offered internet for the price of $12/hr. Rather than chance taking the laptop by dingy to shore and climbing the less than user-friendly dingy dock with it we decided to hold off until we reached Cape Eleuthera marina, which apparently offered this...
